Application
for Membership for Interim Planning Team for Developing the Request for Proposals The Ohio Ad Hoc Consumer Advisory
Group (consisting of 15 Ohio consumers) is accepting applications by Ohio
consumers for the Interim Planning Team (IPT), which will develop, in
collaboration with ODMH, the request for Proposal for the new Ohio statewide
consumer organization. We are seeking as culturally, and geographically diverse
a team of consumers as possible. The Ad Hoc Group will select twenty consumers,
representing six regions across Ohio, to be members of the IPT. In addition, the
IPT will have two representatives from the ODMH staff and eight individuals
(some of whom may be consumers) to be appointed by ODMH. To ensure an unbiased
process, existing members of the Ad Hoc Group can apply, but they will not be
allowed to comment on their own application or that of anyone too closely
associated with them. The IPT will meet at least
monthly in person or by teleconference for approximately five months.
The IPT process will involve gathering information through a variety of
methods such as regional forums/town meetings, focus groups, surveys, COSs,
interviews, benchmarking with other states, literature search, etc., and will
culminate with the development of a RFP for a statewide consumer organization. Consumers participating on the
IPT will be paid a modest stipend and mileage. The desired skills, experience and resources
